The area is also famous for its early-blooming Kawazu cherry blossoms, which begin blooming in early February. 850 cherry trees are in bloom along the Kawazu River, with approximately 8,000 cherry trees in total. The Kawazu Cherry Blossom Festival attracts many tourists every year.
