Guidance of using Eco-Bags (Eco-friendly shopping Bags)

Post: Tuesday May 24, 2016

Eco-Bags are reusable shopping bags which consumers bring to supermarkets.

For environmental preservation, increasing consumers recently bring their own bags for their shopping instead of using plastic bags which supermarkets or stores provide.

These shopping bags brought by consumers are called "Eco-Bag" or "My Bag" in Japan.

Many retail stores encourage consumers to bring Eco-bags by giving a point to their member's card when bringing eco bags or by charging for plastic bag use provided by stores.

Here are the listings of major supermarkets in Central Tokyo and their handlings of shopping bags.
